Even if I think I’m going in the wrong direction, I can find another route to success.

If I steer my vessel in the wrong direction, I can find a map and chart out a new course.  Stopping is not an option. I can find my way as long as I keep focused on where I intend to go.

Success is a journey, not a destination. That is why I strive to make each step count. A positive attitude helps me move forward and, even when I am unsure of where I am, I am not lost. Instead, I choose to become a trailblazer. The generation coming behind me will have access to another route thanks to my resolve to stay the course and forge a new path.

Thanks to all the internet marketers who came before us who paved the way by developing systems for us to follow. All we need to do is learn from their teachings and from there we can develop our own. We don’t have to take all the risks by starting from scratch. That has  already been done for us. That question was asked of me recently and it really got me thinking about people just starting out in internet marketing.

No matter what people say, there’s nothing more important than money.

Money makes the world go round. It is what powers the internet and drives your car. It is what puts food on your plate and police on your streets. It is the reason we go to work and it is often the source of most arguments. In this relatively new millennium, money is necessary and if you have more of it, you’ll be better off.

Sad, isn’t it? Despite thousands of years of evolution, we’re still reduced to one simple material desire.

Your first instinct should be to fight it, to live out in a commune and touch nature, but that’s hardly a realistic plan. Even living out in the woods, you still need to buy the essentials that you need to live so once again, your life will be controlled by money.  Read more... I see this evolution as an important process for developing your own unique business and not some cookie cutter replica like so many others. It’s that unique creation that will set you apart from other businesses.

In the development of your business it’s also important to discover your own core values,  the big “why” for starting your business.

The “why” for your business is what drives you to succeed. The “why” is the motivation that will inspire you to continue when things get tough or when creative juices are running dry. It’s the big “why” that keeps you going. It’s the reason you can see the vision or light at the end of the tunnel before anyone else can see it.

I attended the Wealthy Warrior seminar presented by T. Harv Eker; held in Phoenix, Arizona,  March 30, 2009. I am sharing with you a few of my notes.
I found his information to be an excellent perspective on how to succeed at this time in our economy.

What is a Warrior? One who conquers. Wealthy Warrior is one who conquers oneself. Money is a result of how we think. What we think about expands in our lives, like attracts like. What are we focusing on? Do we watch the news like CNN (Constantly Negative News?) Are you focusing on negatives in your life? Or are you creating ‘your own economy?’ Don’t give up on your dreams right now.

There is a general economy and my economy. Economic trends have always gone up and down. This is a fact throughout history. Warren Buffet says that he has been waiting for this day for 10 years.

I started to write a post about 7 success skills or qualities of the online entrepreneur. The first skill I began writing about was Communication. As I was writing, I realized that this skill is so important that I need to devote the entire post to the subject of communication online. I will discuss the other 6 skills at a later time:-)

Your business on the internet is all about communication. Nothing really happens in your business until you communicate with someone.

If you are a person who thinks ‘maybe I can just hide at home and put up a few canned sites to sell stuff,’ you are missing the main point about what it takes to be successful online. We aren’t out here just ‘selling stuff”, we are communicating, sharing, educating, helping, gaining friendships, supporting, and acquiring business partnerships etc etc.

Since communication is such a huge part of an online business, it’s helpful if you enjoy it. Successful people enjoy communicating or sharing their ideas and personal experiences with other people. Having a successful business involves putting yourself out there. The more people you communicate with the better. It’s helpful if you like to write.
